The Solar Powered Car workshop is an engaging and educational hands-on
activity designed to teach young girls about renewable energy, basic
engineering principles, and the importance of sustainable practices.
Participants will build a small solar powered car using simple materials
like cardboards and solar panels, learning about how solar energy can be
harnessed and utilized in everyday technology.
In our Solar Powered Car workshop, girls dive into the exciting world of
renewable energy. They'll explore the science behind solar panels and
how they convert sunlight into electricity. This knowledge is then
applied to practical engineering principles, as the girls design, build,
and test their very own Solar Powered Cars. Through this hands-on
experience, they'll gain a firsthand understanding of how these
technologies work together to create a sustainable mode of
transportation.
Beyond grasping STEM concepts, the workshop empowers participants to
hone their problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration skills as they
engineer their own Solar Powered Cars.
To culminate the workshop and celebrate their achievements, we host a
thrilling Solar Car Race! This exciting competition allows girls to
witness the practical applications of their newly acquired knowledge and
engineering skills. As their cars race across the finish line, powered
by the sun's energy, it becomes a tangible demonstration of their hard
work and ingenuity.
